WebSep 13, 2024 · They ended up tearing down the entire top end and replacing the oil pump, lifters, pushrods, heads & associated valvetrain components, cylinders & pistons. The front cylinder was scored from lack of lubrication. It's my opinion that the oil pump wasn't sealing properly and the cavitation that ensued was caused by that.
