WebMar 19, 2024 · I am trying to identify the index of a column name based on a matching regex condition. However df.columns produces an object of Type pandas.core.indexes.base.Index, that does not have indexes. I want the index so that i can slice the df to get rid of columns that I don't need. Here is a worked example: WebIndex to use for resulting frame. Will default to RangeIndex if no indexing information part of input data and no index provided. columns Index or array-like. Column labels to use for resulting frame when data does not have them, defaulting to RangeIndex(0, 1, 2, …, n). If data contains column labels, will perform column selection instead.
