Finding I enjoy shooting BP more than 45 Colt conversion cylinders. If you get a chance give BP or even Pyrodex pellets a try - lots of fun! Web3 okt. 2011 · I'm pondering on getting a cartridge conversion for my Pietta Remington NMA. I've looked at both the Kirst and the Howell web sites, and I have a few questions: 1. The Kirst Konverter is a five-shot cylinder with an "un-bored" sixth "chamber", and the cylinder is chambered for .45 Colt. Web1 sep. 2015 · You should contact the manufacturer of your revolver to see if IT will handle those loads. The cylinder may be able to but the revolver may not since it was made for cap and ball. I also have conversion cylinders for two different revolvers,both 44s, in 45lc and 45acp but I will not take the chance of blowing either of them up.
Web12 nov. 2024 · I have the Howell and the Kirst conversion cylinders. The Kirst is different from the Howell in that it has only one firing pin at the 12 o'clock position. While multiple firing pins aren't necessary, should something happen to the one pin then the cylinder would be useless while the Howell will continue to fire the other positions without problem. The Old Army shoots so accurately with the .45 cartridges, it is a perfect set up, and Big Brother is out of the picture.
