When I was holding both in different calibers I really noticed the balance and overall feel was better with the bigger hole down the barrel. Same with the vaqueros. WebJan 31, 2024 · Take out the magazine screw at the front end and remove the magazine. Take out the two side screws, cock the piece and draw the slide about halfway to the rear and withdraw the trigger plate. Slide the bolt clear back, insert a punch in the small hole on the left hand side, and push out the locking brace pin, and slide out the bolt.

When filled completely with BP, like it was back in the day, the brass case will expand nicely and keep all the nasty BP residue in the barrel and out of the action.
